How to get Success on RentACoder as Seller, Secrets Tips For Freelancers : Know the secret tips and tricks to become a successful seller on RentACoder.com (RAC). I gathered valuable experience to compete as a freelancer in this huge industry. It's easy to get Success on RAC if you're a good in your work. I joined RentACoder.com as a seller on 8th April, 2008. Within this one and half year I've got a huge success on Rentacoder.com. In this article, I'll tell you how I got success on RentACodder.com as a freelancer among the huge competition. I'm an Indian. In my country, India, most of the professional developers and freelancers are hard workers. But they earn some 20-40 dollars per day, which is equal to the hourly rates of US and UK based freelancers. When I joined RAC, I assumed, I've to remain average in the heap of 1,00,000 developers. I started bidding from the very next day and got reply to some of my bids from first week of joining. Oh. Rentacoder.com became better to me than others like Scriptlance, Elance, GetAFreelancer etc. On 13th day after joining, I got a positive response to one of my bids and within 2 hrs of discussion a 100 dollars bid got accepted. It was Kendrek Moultry, who accepted my bid and I had to develop his website mycuredcomputer.com. I did it and earned my first dollars on RentACoder.com. Here is the screenshot of my current Seller Profile. Hope won't bother you a lot.    What I did to get SUCCESS on RAC I logged in to my RAC profile atleast 6 times a day. This keeps the Last Login info updated which impresses a buyer. I used to bid on projects at cheapest rate during first 6 months. For an example, $4 for a logo design, $7 for an emailing form coding, $50 for an online ebook selling website and so on. I used to write even false statements also, to impress a buyer. Just like, I've done this this and this and concluded them with a phrase, 'but I'm new on RAC'. Wow! It worked. Who cares of stating truth? It's atleast better to lie than to die in the dark. I got enough jobs. And it never let me feel that I'm a newbie, because I used to get recurring projects. Oh! My ending were good, with 10 ratings and testimonials. I never rejected a project looking into into Max Bid Amount. In 9-10 cases, the buyers were so impressed that they edited their bid requests, increased the max bid amount and accepted my bid. I always tried to mention a bid amount, even when I was not sure of it. Because, I experienced that new RAC buyers used to overlook all those threads in his control panel, which do not contain a bid amount. And they used to emphasize on economic bidding, rather than previous works of a coder, ratings or reliabilities. I never made a mistake to post fake bids, when the buyers were experienced (atleast 5-6 completed works). I used to ask everything, what is and what isn't -  before 24 hrs of getting accepted in a bid request. Because, I experienced some situations, when the buyers asked for 3, without mentioning that 1 and 2 are also in the scope of the projects. I read the entire Sellers Agreement carefully during startup and printed a copy for checking it offline. I never violated a single term on RAC, while discussing with the buyer on a project thread. I always replied atleast once a day, even when the project was 1 month long. I tried my best not to miss a status report submission. I used to rate buyers when the work is done. And never hesitated to ask him to do the same for me. However, I never told them how much rating I want. I always tried to complete work and upload deliverables within deadline. Truely speaking, I also failed, but it's not more than 5-6 times. I purchased a affordable linux server (Planet Servers) and I used to offer free hosting for 1 year (and sometimes, free domain registration), whenever I made a bid for website development and the bid amount was more than 100 dollars. I offer $6/Yr web hosting now and I knew, I can afford this discount from 100 dollars. It worked like a charm. Most of the web spaces or domains given by me for free, were renewed by my clients this year. I got a returning clients-base. Hope you'll not lol now. I used to write replies and posted bids using female names. YES. This too worked. Atleast I cannot forget the quote of my client, 'Ishita, you speak so sweet'. However, Ishita never spoke, just wrote some paragraphs using my hand. I knew PHP-MySQL, Photoshop, Flash and working on LAMP environment. I knew WHM-cPanel based server architecture and I never made a bid off-topic. This is crutial. Write fake statements, make fake bids, but never do it on wrong bid requests. I had to develop a  complete site at $15, but I knew, I could do it. I never made a bid on Sugar CRM projects, because I knew, it's not in my scope. Arbitration. I faced it number of times. I lost it for once only. Because I was a clever buyer on RAC Arbitration threads. RAC Facilators tried to increminate me just like other buyers. Why won't they? I'm their developers. They will always put the buyer to a safer place. But stay cool. Never express your anger. never say, RAC arbitrators are biased. Rather, appritiate each and every reply of both the buyers and the arbitrators. Praise RAC and its strict rules (I believe RentACoder.com is the most safe and fare place for both buyers and sellers). This is all, which can lead you towards a vistory. I indeed won number all the RAC arbitration except one. There was one more reason behind it. I was always perfect in my Jobs.
